I have a 71 convertible. When sitting in the driver's seat and looking at the door panel - I want to know if the area to the upper right of the interior door panel (this is the area closest to the Trim Tag and on the inside of the weatherstripping) should be painted? For the passenger side, obviously this would be the upper left area above the interior door panel when sitting in the seat.
I hope I explained it correctly. Any help is appreciated.
Your copy of the 1970-72 Judging Guide, Interior, Section 9, Door Jamb Area says:
"...The top front of the door, forward and above the door panel, is semi-gloss to semi-flat black, the same color as the balckout in the engine compartment and under the hood."
Note, there is no distinction on year of car or color combination...
