This first design is dated 4M30 = 1954, by the way %90 of all Mallory's have a split and why I don't know but will work OK
The Mallory holder is thin as original
The wire from the Mallory to points that goes through the rubber grommet needs to be cut even and shaved with the Dist housing to fit the shielding tight.
Original shielding hold down plate (seen) has two rivets and not the pop rivets vary early repro shielding used.
The first issue shielding up to around #100 used a brass tag like the Generator. The second re-issue used a sticker as seen ,there is an argument that the number 90301 is a zip code {Not!}

Roy, I hate to think how many of those 847's and 891's we have used for parts for the 57 FI distributors over the years. Are those 847's very valuable today? I know the 891's have gone up a tad but nothing earth shattering. JD

Not the second design , but the first design is be coming vary hard to locate for early 55's corvette owners.Vary early 55's need the date code 1953, like vary early 55 engine are dated 54.
