I am a member of several discussion boards on things I am a bit more knowledgeable on than this and there always seems to be a wealth of great info. That's why I am here.
I received a phone call a 6 pictures from a gentleman out West that claims to have a 1953/4 Corvette body from GM that was never finished that he wants to sell. He also claims he bought this from a guy that had 6 and this was the 2nd most complete one he had. (Anyone ever heard of such a thing?)
Here's what I do know. It is a hand laid glass body complete with doors, trunk and hood. Doors are not in this picture, but others. It is missing a gas door. It has never been drilled out for headlights, taillights and moldings. It does not have a VIN plate. It has a 54 frame from another totalled Vette.
Here's what I don't know. How to tell if it's real. I don't know what to look for, neither do I know where to look. Any and all help would be tremendously appreciated. Please feel free to email pics and info and I will also be checking back here hourly.
Oh yeah, My email is MoparBruce@aol.com (I know and I am sorry for the "M" word)
Than you in Advance,
Bruce
