Re: How to identify C3 RADIATOR SUPPORT
Michael-----
Perhaps they removed the sticker after installation. That's not uncommon. I usually remove parts stickers after installation if they are very visible. Keep in mind that these are SERVICE part stickers. They were not used on PRODUCTION pieces originally installed on a car even though they are usually exactly the same or virtually the same piece originally installed on the cars. So, the sticker is a "dead giveaway" that the part has been replaced. Many folks don't like that.
If you're concerned that they switched your NOS for a reproduction, I would doubt it, but anything is possible. If you're asking how to identify an NOS GM piece from a reproduction, it's going to be very difficult. One thing, though, is that reproductions are usually painted a much higher gloss and "thicker" black than the very semi gloss, "thin" black used on GM pieces. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: How to identify C3 RADIATOR SUPPORT
NOS 1969 camaro radiator core support---i've seen these advertised on ebay with the "gm nos" part number, when you put the part number in the "system" you are actualy buying a re-pop part from a re-po house with gm re-pop certification--the camaro core support from ??? repo house is $250 ,but because some one think they are buying an NOS from 1969 or ? pays $450.00 plus---buyer be ware---there are little to no real nos parts left---jmho---phil- Top
