    67 under carriage cleaning

I am cleaning 40 years of dirt with Simple Green as per Jerry F. I removed the rubber bumpers on the lower a-arms to make cleaning easier. The bumpers appear original and appeared to have never been off. On the drivers side the bolts went up with the nuts up on the top with bumper. The passenger side had the bolt heads on the bumper( on top) and the nuts down below as on Jerry F's 67 (our assembly dates are days apart). The bolts had lockwashers on the bolt head end of the bolt on both sides. At first I thought it only 3 had lock washers but found pieces of a broken lockwasher. Has anyone seen this before? If they were changed it was between 1967 and 1971. Thank you in advance for your help. Dale

Just took mine off, the nut was on top, the lock washer was by the bolt head.
