Replaced the aftermarket fuel pump on my 67 327/300HP with correct 40433 this weekend. My flexible hose fuel line didn't fit the line in fitting (screw in) on the fuel pump without the purchase of a "nipple" adapter. Is there a "correct" adapter for this fuel pump, or was my fuel line suppose to have a screw-in end on it? Just wondering. Seems like I replace one non-original part with an original replacement part only to find something else isn't quite correct. Oh, wait a minute, that's why I bought this car, so I could continuously replace non-original working parts with other expensive "original" working parts. Silly me!!

Re: Rebuilt AC Delco 40433 Fuel Pump - Fuel Line I
The 40083 pump requires a right angle adapter with a square fitting that adapts from the pipe thread of the pump to the "push on" fitting required for the hose from the line to the pump. Another adapter is required on the metal line sidem again to adapt from the pipe fitting thread in the pump to the 5/16 line fitting to the fuel filter.Bill Clupper #618- Top

AC Delco 40433 Fuel Pump - Fuel Line
Kirk,
Here's my original 40433 Fuel Pump showing the hose adapter (also original)
Paragon has the correct fuel line and clamps. Here's the clamps:
The rusty ones with the squared off tabs are the originals.

Also
The fuel filter is internal to the 3810 carb and there is no adapter for the steel line. The steel line just screws into the fuel pump threaded fitting and at the carb.
I got one of those Paragon pre-bent steel fuel lines and it fits just right. 5/16" brake line sold at NAPA also works if you want to bend your own fuel line or cut in an auxiliary filter.

Re: If you don't see the photos
Kirk,
I do not see the fitting separately in the Paragon catalog. They say that their 40433 comes with the correct fittings. If you got it from them I'd check with them. It is a brass 90 with 1/8" npt thread and a nipple on the other side.
Maybe some a hardware store one would work.
Where did you get the pump, maybe check with them.
