I know no one makes a perfect repro, and I sure can't afford the ones on ebay. Does anyone out their repaint and stamp the newer AC Delcos to at least look correct? If so, who? If not, how can I go about doing it myself? Thanks.

In my experience the front shocks are very hard to judge while on your back for chassis judging due to the front spring and lower control arm. There have been times when I was not able to tell one way or the other if "Pliacell" or the part number were visible and have assigned full credit as long as the shape of the shock and color were right.
The numbers on the rear shocks are much more visible with a flashlight and mirror. On my own car I installed the Delco replacements and take the hit. I've never heard of anyone who can restamp shocks.
good luck

Restamped shocks
Kirk,
There is an e-bay seller who claims to restamp shocks. Check out e-bay auction 220163539794. I've never seen a restamped shock up close and I have no connection to the e-bay seller who does this, so I am not making an endorsement of any kind whatsoever. If the Buy-it-Now price on the auction is the going rate, it sounds very expensive to me just for 1 or 2 points.

Re: NCRS Correct Shocks for a 67
there are "several" changes that were not addressed by anyone yet
1) early 56's did not have a fresh air heater so the cut out is different in the fireall
2) 56's that had windshield washers had a washer bag vice ( 2 piece bracket to hang the bag 3 screw holes) a single bracket (4 screw holes) and the holes in the firewall are different
3) 56 power top cars are different than their 57 counterparts (56 had toggle switches on the gas tank cover, 57's had an arm and bracket on the rh side inside the inner door jamb area with a reinforcement nut plate on the inderside of the body) thus the body holes are different
4) 56 and early 57's up to around vin 2000 or so did not have additonal gray goop adhesive around the upper grille surround cut out holes for additonal reinforcement
5) 57's (don't know the vin here) had additonal rocker panel bracket that 56
did not have
6) early 56 cowl vent know like a 53-55
7) both decklin and trunk had a purple dated ink stamp under the hinge area
i.e. MAR 1957 FEB 1956- Top
