These are the shielding I made years ago , I've had owner tell me that some judge said they never had a sticker /WRONG they did , the first units had a copper tag, looking like a Generator tag some times on the Dist can or coil can only. Then later went to a sticker as seen here. The judge also said the sticker was wrong because it has a zip=code on it after the words Inglewood, Ca. 90301 WRONG
It was Hallett's phone number 90301. The 50's phone numbers were short with 5 numbers. So don't believe what your told!
I have Hallett's original prints to prove it.What you see here is all NOS, every thing, Dist dated 1954 first design!

Kelly, I have a set of Roy's reproduction ignition shields,they are a very nice copy and fit well. One of the things about the '55 I like is the chrome shielding, it really sets the engine apart from others... That was a "had to have item" for me. I don't think I have seen an original set for sale in all the years I have been gathering parts...

Yes for years , I would say about %99 of all 55 Corvette have my repro shielding installed// %100 correct. A few were made many years ago before I did them by RAY, but they were pop-riveted and soldered to gather, also the Dist bottom locking ring dint work, easy to see they are repro's he sold about 13 sets.

Roy made them for a while, although I don't think he's making them right now. They are really very good, very few details to tell them from the originals. I think the ones in the pic are his, the small details might actually be overlooked by a judge, and of course the coil capacitor decal is missing, but time could have done that.

I don't think I have ever seen a single scrap of the 55 shielding for sale, other than Roy.

This is the shield in my car. Note the brighter wire shield. I made that one to replace one that was lost when I was a kid. The others are original. I even still have the 1/16" diameter braid on the wire from the coil to the distributor.
