    Carter AFB rebuild

    Who is recommended for a quality rebuild of an original Carter AFB for a 1963 340 hp Corvette? Prefer someone in or near Florida if possible. Thanks, Rex

          Bob has done a couple of AFBs for my 1965 small block and they`ve been perfect. The last time I didn`t even have to reset the idle.

              Last time I talked to Bob, he was slowing down and not going to do as much. Moved out of his shop and was going to do only a few carbs out of his house. This was six monthes ago maybe things have changed.

                  FYI...Rebuild kits available from both Carquest, NAPA, and the vette specific vendors. Kits contain needle/seats, accelerator pump, and all the gaskets for $30. I just went through mine to de-gunk it and fix a plugged up accelerator pump. Rebuilders charge a good buck. Used the 63 service manual and Emanuel's Carter/Edelbrock book.
