    Am I missing something? Why is that PCV so much? Have people gone mad?

      Re: C2 nuts

      PVC valves, wing nuts, bolts and what ever get crazy prices for C2 Corvettes ,never seen prices like that for C1's. Are C1's only for poor people ?,now I'm a shamed to park next to a C2 ,now I know why %99 of this forum is about C2's.

          I see this very often and can think of two things;

          1) A pro restorer is working on a customer's car and his customer tells him they want a 100% real car, no repro parts, money is not important.

          2) Some people have more money than common sense.

            Roy-----

            A CV 736C is not a rare valve. In fact, it's still available from GM. However, there are some "nuances" that have changed over the years. These include the embossed marking on the bottom of the internal valve stem (visible through the hole on the bottom) and the number of stake marks on the base of the valve. Originals have only 4 stake marks; later had 8, or so. There also may have been some slight differences in the printing embossed on the side of the valve.

            I have numerous NOS examples of the original style valve [none for sale, of course, even for big $$$]. I could go dig them out to see what the differences are from the later, but I'm too lazy right now.

              Nuts?

              Nuts? Isn't that the answer the American general gave to the German surrender demand at Bastogne? Nuts?

              Nobody really knows what prompted that response. Maybe it was the price of these NUTS!
