    Why...

the price of fuel is what it is has no bearing on my comment. I was talking economics not politics and it's NOT true that Europe has NO oil... There are quite a few drilling rigs working the North Sea if you haven't been across the pond recently.

Remember on your return trip to make a stop in NY and get a drivers license....

            Gas Prices

I put fuel in my daily driver today here in Ontario, Canada. The price was $1.02/liter or about $3.88/US gallon.

              Re: Gas Prices

I filled up my 57 today in Tulsa, Oklahoma, $2.87/gal.

I don't think the car was happy about it. It spit some of the gas back out.

and we spend about $300 a month for medicare and our medicare supplement insurance so you might be coming out ahead, depends how much fuel you burn a month

                      Cheap Shell gasoline

                      Oops, 1986.

Price per litre in Canada at that time. Now about 3 times more expensive.

I agree. My High School job was pumin gas in 69. 28cents a gallon. In 71 traveling thru Ohio. They had a gas war on,remember those? 17 cents a gallon. Saw picture of gas in the Depression era 25 cents a gallon. People made $12.00 a week. For inflation were doin ok.
