    "thevettenet.com" what have you heard?

I was called by Larry who saw an ad for my car. Apparently he acts as a broker to connect buyers and sellers. Has anyone had any experiences with him?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Don't know him but if he wants a fee tell him to take a hike. If he found your ad, someone looking for a car like your will too.

heard of them; never used them. But obviously there is nothing wrong with getting a fee for your services (whatever they are) - he wouldn't be the first in this world to make a living out of that.

If you want a broker find one and you contact them. If this person wants money or information I would run fast. This could be a trap be carefull.

you would be surprised how many people come with their hand out looking for a commission on a high $$$ corvette sale that had nothing to do with the sale. these same people get pissed when you do not use them as a broker for the sale.

Good point Clem. As long as the buyer pays the fees for all the fender sitters it would be ok.

I would never use a go-between again. I did once 5 yrs ago. A complete Zero. If your car is a good one, any of the number of Internet Sites and Trade magazines, (Hemmings CCTOL Deals etc.) Will offer a good alternative. (Aside from your local papers.) Thats all these sales types will do. Then charge you.

Do you have a last name? Where is he located?

I was speaking in general terms. Our sales type was base out of the mid-west. A real WKRP Herb Tarlick winner.
