    C3 antenna

Hello all. Does anybody know who the manufacturer is of the reproduction '69 up C3 antennas is? I know they are available at all regular vendors but I would like to find out who makes them for these vendors. Thanks for your help.

The antenna mast remains available in SERVICE from GM under GM #370147. However, it's not 100% correct with respect to the originals. For one thing, the size of the ball at the top is a little different and there are other minor differences, too. I don't know if this is the part that's sold in reproduction, or not. Very often, if a part is still available in SERVICE from GM, that's the part that reproduction sources have available, although they may get them from the actual manufacturer rather than GM.

Thanks for the information. Do you know who the vendor is that sells to GM?

If your antenna lead-in cable is factory original, looks closely at the marks on its outer sheath. You might see a 'Ward' designator ink-stamped there which would tie to the original supplier of the antenna mast + lead-in cable...

The cable is original so I will take a good look at it. Thanks for the response.

              Joe:

Regarding the current service replacement antenna for a c-3, do you know when it was introduced? I had purchased a service replacement antenna from GM for my '72 back in the early 1980's. Not sure if it matched the original.
