Rear Quarter Panel Replacement For 64 Coupe

What is the correct process / panels for replacing the rear quarter panels on a 64 coupe with flares? I want to do it so that it is correct for judging. Who sells the correct panels.

the original 64 rear 1/4's were press-moulded, not hand laid. they were also a light gray color. finding NOS original GM 1/4's with the correct gray color will be tough. the dark gray GM 1/4's common to the 67 model year are more readily available at venues such as Corvettes at Carlisle. by lightly glass beading or using a very fine abrasive in your sand blaster, you can "lighten" the dark gray 67 1/4's to closely approximate the 64 color. good luck. mike

i've been lucky enough to get nos gm's so haven't used sermersheimer or legendary or any of the other fiberglass panel repo'ers. others may chine in on the use of repo press moulded panels. mike

Don't use CORVETTE IMAGE.....for anything....EVER.
