I went thur the archives and found the posts on C-2 springs. I counted coils(10 or 11) and measured diameter(.63 to.65). This appears to be a 3832518 spring. The 67 C-2 has base engine,M-20,C-60,K-19.Am I correct? Thank you Dale

Dale------
The GM #3832518 spring was the spring used for cars with F-40/F-41 suspension. It would not have been originally used on the car you describe. The wire diameter of this spring is about .70" and there are 7 total coils.
The spring that was originally used for your car, GM #3851100, has 11 coils and a wire diameter of about .60". I think that what you have are these springs, although you may be slightly off in your measurement of wire diameter. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 67 C-2 front springs
Hey Joe,
I just got my 66 back from the "body Prep Guy" , so I crawled under to look at my front springs and the drivers side has a yellow sticker with 3888251 on it
I cant find that number anywhere ! Any ideas ?
Thanks,

Yes, GM #3888251 was the front spring used for 1966-67 Corvettes with big block and C-60. It may also have been used for 1966 Corvettes with small block and C-60.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 67 C-2 front springs
Joe,
Well you can eliminate the "may also" . My car is a C-60 small block.
Thanks for checking and letting me know. I fiqured it was close to correct because the number 3888250 was listed in the JG for 66 big blocks , and mine was only one digit off.
Now I Know it is original. I also have another item to submit for revision in the "66 JG " as it doesn't mention 3888251 at all ! Thats why I came to you !
Thanks again,
Jim- Top
