Re: Happy Birthday Joe Trybulec
I made it through heart surgery a few weeks ago and am happy to have another birthday.
Hit 55 today.
It has been quite a ride so far..and my heart repair should give me many more days to enjoy my family and friends...and the cars we love so much.
Thanks to everyone...for being so nice.
Kindest Regards,

Re: Happy Birthday Joe Trybulec
Modern medicine is amazing. Many of us here have had heart issues, and look forward to many more birthdays and a whole lot more fun. Do the cardiac rehab. I would tell you to exercise, but that would be "do what I say, not what I do." No sense to that. Best of luck.Terry- Top

Joe--
Keep on keeping on!! I've had 4 stents, and still play softball competitively two days a week with no issues (other than aches and pains). As Terry said, do the rehab, and watch your diet!
Perhaps you made the mistake of being born into the wrong family--my paternal grandfather and his 7 brothers all died of heart attacks before the age of 50--heredity plays a large part in all this, doesn't it?
Blessings!

Re: Happy Birthday Joe Trybulec
Mike..Same here..Father and grandfather had heart desease. I had a heart attack Sunday at Blommington this year and had a stent put in while in Chicago. After about 60 days of recovery and cardio rehab I was feeling great. Then the two other blocked arteries started causing chest pains.
I went in for a diagnostic catherization and was then scheduled to have the two additional arteries stented. However when they went in..they decided bypass was required and I got all three arteries bypassed.
It has been about 30 days since the operation and I am starting to feel somewhat back to normal. I suspect I will feel pretty good by Spring.
It is amazing what the body can recover from. I do beleive the cardio exercise helped prepare for a faster recovery. I will be going back to cardio exercise very soon.
The scarry part of having the stents done...is that they can start to close within 90 days to 6 months...according to the Cardioligist and the surgeon.
I am planning to go to the Orlando meet in January..and am looking forward to it.
By the way ..a friend has purchased a 57 airbox car and will be looking for some missing parts...if anyone can help..please e-mail me at Trybulec@aol.com

I was told the same thing, with the additional information that if you make it past six months you are good to go for the rest of your life -- however long that is.
Many more birthdays to you JoeTerry- Top
