Hi, has anyone had Paragon replate and rescreen the service instructions on their original air cleaner lid? If so where you pleased with the results and get your original lid back? I'm going to send them my original 66 L79 lid but a little scared (of the results or if I'll get my original back) and need some reassurance. I don't want to lose something thats been on the car since it's birth!!! Sincerly Brian

Paragon C2 Air Cleaner restoration; an alternative
Brian,
Before you send your lid to Paragon, you should know that the Paragon silk screen will typically garner a deduct from most judges. There are several obvious differences between the Paragon silk screen and the GM original.
As an alternative to Paragon, I suggest you contact Richard Fortier, ex-owner of Paragon, who now has an improved silk screen that should judge much better than the Paragon item. Richard advertises in the Driveline, where you can find his phone number.

Re: Paragon C2 Air Cleaner restoration?
Brian,
I had them do an air cleaner for me. They do not do any of it in house. They send it out for replating and then they send it somewhere else for silk screening. I don't know who they outsource the work to. Mine turned out very nice. However, it took much longer than they promised. I think they estimated about two months and it actually took over six, and several follow up phone calls. I'm not sure how the silk screening will judge as Gary mentioned.- Top
