I am looking at the fasteners that hold the bottom bar to the back plate. Corvette Central sells clutch head screws for this application. I was under the impression that by late 62 (car is May build) the only clutch head screws were in the grab bar and possibly the seat separator door hinge.
I would appreciate any thoughts as to the correct license bar fasteners and also at what point the upper seat separator hinge screws changed to phillips.
John, my '62, owned since April 1965, has phillips head bolts. Hexagon nuts with lock washers are on the top side. The car has a build date of 6-22-62. Can't answer your second question.
