How were the radio shield brackets painted on a orange colored block? Were they painted on the engine? Were they off the car when painted were they hand painted? Thanks

On those C3 engines with a painted intake manifold, the distributor shield supports were spray painted with the rest of the engine. On those C3 engines with an aluminum intake manifold the distributor shield supports were painted on the engine, but by hand with a brush.

If you don't have the judging manual, that would be a good investment. That's spelled out pretty clearly there.
