    1959 horns

i hear that many of the horns from GM in the late sixties were identical except for the stamped number. given that the 351 and 352 are so hard to find, would 364,376, or 503 be close substitutes until i can find correct ones?

It's not just the number that's stamped on the horn that makes the difference... Things that changed from PN to PN included: (1) the tone of the honk, (2) the orientation of the horn relative to the mounting bracket, and (3) the specific geometry of the mounting bracket.

Will an ordinary passenger car horn from the era 'work' on your Corvette? Yep!

Differences are largely in bracket configuration and orieintation of the bracket relative to the mouth og the horn. I can't comment on the numbers you have listed but they are in the same general era.

            Hi James

There is a guy Dennis Portka, in Hamburg NY that rebiulds horns and has many original ones for sale. He was advertising in the drive line. I think he is selling other items. Look for his name and call him. He had the correct ones for my 62 and I bought them.Excellent workmanship.

            Good Luck...John
