Does anyone have documentation on when the design for the front engine cross mount bracket changed to add the relief for the right hand freeze plug? In the judging manual it indicates "sometime around the 1959 model changeover". I have a very late '58 (#9128) with an early July assembly date engine so I'm trying to determine if either is "correct". It currently has the one with the relief for the freeze plug, with no cutout for the waterpump, so if the redesign was ahead of this I'll probably leave it alone. Thanks again, Ted

Cross mount was a no deduct. Had it been, no problem, I was honestly convinced it came with the car when new and I wouldn't have changed it regardless of some judging decision or point loss.- Top
