I have heard of numerous techniques for restoring / painting exhaust manifolds to obtain that "perfect" color. Any recomendations?

I wire wheel all of the rust off of the manifolds i then instal them on the car and bring them op to operating temperature. I then spray Armorall on them and they look great. spray again every once and a while and they will look natural for quiet a while.

If your thinking of sending them out try Jerry Macheish.He has a method that he uses and they will never rust.

I bead blasted mine ever so light, dipped in OSPHO, then coated with a very expensive high temp coating that was recommended from this board, you will have to search for the name, it paints on...I fired them in my oven, and they look as cast and look like the day they were done 6 years ago.Dino Lanno- Top

I bead blasted mine ever so light, dipped in OSPHO, then coated with a very expensive high temp coating that was recommended from this board, you will have to search for the name, it paints on...I fired them in my oven, and they look as cast and look like the day they were done 6 years ago.Dino Lanno- Top
