Full Name (Ditzler) is "Daytona Blue Poly" Poly indicates metallic

The correct dupont mix has very fine metalic. Most other brands will be the correct shade but the metalic will be way to large . Bill

                    Bill:

"The correct dupont mix has very fine metalic."

Are you talking lacquer here? The original Dupont code for 916 Daytona Blue was 4395-2.

I have been trying to track down "reliable" current Dupont offset numbers for BC/CC or acrylic enamel for Daytona Blue.

So far I have been given:

Nason Ful-Base Base Coat #43951F and
                    7779 Dupont Chromabase Clear

                    as the best option.

Are these correct? I am looking for the best non lacquer solution. Any recommendations?

                    Thx.

                    Tom

Any dupont jobber should be able to mix the correct color in chroma base or chroma premere. nason is a cheaper paint from dupont . I have never used it so I cant help you there. No matter what you use the clear will make it look deeper , darker & inhance the metallic. Always have a pint or less mixed for a test panel before spending the big bucks.....Bill
