The only way you're going to get these at the present time is to find good used pieces or, if you're extremely lucky, NOS. The 68-69 (except very late 1969) upper hood latches were unique to those years and are not reproduced as far as I know. The later latches, which were available in SERVICE for a long time, are much more common. If you keep your eye on the "Driveline" ads and eBay you should be able to come up with a set. Otherwise, try a used parts source like Pacific Corvette in Puyallup, WA or Paragon Vintage.
The hardtop trim is an "entire 'nuther matter". That will be extremely hard to find. You could try the above sources, but you'll likely "come up dry". If you do find them, prepare to shell out some heavy $$$.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 68 UPPER HOOD LATCHES AND HT TRIM
Are you looking for the latches that mount to the hood itself? If so I might have a pair for you. I managed to get two pair (I think) when I was looking for them. Send me a e-mail picture of what you are looking for and I will check. Jay What are you willing to give for them?- Top

Re: 68 UPPER HOOD LATCHES AND HT TRIM
Glen:
I believe that there were two sets of (upper) hood latches used during the 1968 model year. The first, for "early" cars, were numbered 3922201 LH and 3922202 RH. For very late 68's and all 69's, the latches were numbered 3948141 LH and 3948142 RH. Firstly, you need to determine whether the early or late latches are appropriate for your car and, secondly, you have to be able to identify the diffences between the two sets. You will find originals only at swap meets.
I had to replace a set of butchered early 68 latches. It took some time but I did find excellent ones at Carlisle, each from a different vendor.- Top

Here's the right side latch. Both of these latches are the 68-69 style latches.
