C-3 hood clearance

I realize that this may be a rather strange question, but can anyone tell me how much clearance there is between the tallest point on a big block valve cover and the inside of an L-88 hood on a 68 Corvette?

I don't know what the dimension is. However, the dimension should be the same as that between any big block engine valve cover and a standard big block hood. There is no difference in the hood height in the area above the valve covers between the regular big block hood and L-88 hood and, of course, the valve cover configuration affecting height is the same for all stock big block valve covers.

If you are trying to measure it, try a loosely crumpled ball of foil inside a plastic baggie taped to the valve cover, close the hood then open it and measure what you have. Crude but effective.
