67 clutch return spring bracket

What does this look like? I have a plate measuring about 1 inch wide bent in a 90 degree angle, the long side is about 1 1/4 in long and has a hole in it big enough for the steering mast support mounting bolt. The short side measures about 3/8 in long and has a small hole in it. Is this what I am looking for?

What you describe sound like the piece. I can't say for absolute certain not having seen it, but your description sounds right.

Hello Randy;

Two May cars have the bracket you describe.

A November Corvette(4086) has a small plate w/ a hook for the spring to attach.

Here's a photo of the '67 clutch return spring bracket with the hole for the end of the spring; the pre-'67 bracket didn't have a hole - it had a little formed "hook" for the end of the spring.
