    Trivia - '62 was the only year where there were two different methods of attaching the starter; on manuals, it attached to the front edge of the bellhousing with horizontal bolts (as it had for years), but on Powerglides it attached with vertical bolts to the pad on the bottom of the block ('62 was the first year of the aluminum Powerglide, and that engine was the first to use the [new] block pad-mounted starter).
