I have seen rear dated springs advertised for sale for a 55 vette in a couple of places recently. I see no mention of dates in the judging guide or in Noland Adams book. Why bother going to the expense of getting dated springs if there is no point deductions for not having them. If they are required or correct , what would be a correct date for an august 55 car.

Re: 1955 dated rear springs
There is no mention for many parts concerning a 55 so don't worry, only if your concerned to have a correct 55 does it matter // and that goes for any year Corvette.
I've tried selling correct parts for years , but many people don't show any concern for them unless it's in the JM. Go Figure !!!!- Top

Re: 1955 dated rear springs
the leaf that is date coded isn't viewable when the spring is installed so dates are of little concern. what the judges do look for, however, is the presence of about 3/4" wide stamped grooves that travese the length of the leaves(on the surface of the leaf that faces the blacktop). they also will check for correct syle bands and band retainers . mike- Top
