Like everyone, I am also interested in this method.

As an corollary, I have long believed you could construct a manometer very similar in function to the Kent-Moore by buying water and mercury manometers, but I have not had the time to obtain these tools and do a test. Maybe I will try this over the winter . . .

The same with me I would be very interested in the device that helps tune the injection unit

Larry ---- Try contacting Jerry Bramlett, an NCRS member, who lives in, or near, Mobile, Alabama. Check here for his profile and email him. He restores FI units and uses manometers. He may be able to help you find exactly whay you're looking for.

Larry, Sorry for the delay but yesterday was my wife's birthday.

Basically the calibration process is the same. You set the engine to 1/2" of H2O control diaphram signal and make the fuel pressure measurement at the same location (tygon tubing and a ruler work in a pinch). The trick is you measure the fuel pressure directly - inches of gasoline pressure. This can be done by using tygon tubing connected to the spyder connector and hanging it directly above. The PSI mercury meaurement is converted to inches of gasoline (PSI HG x 18.8 however I recommend measuring the specific gravity of the gasoline in the tank instead of assuming 0.74 for the conversion).

Several precautions should be taken to avoid gasoline spillage - and the heart attach that would follow.

I had a brief discussion printer in the Corvette Restorer back in 1994 but I can email it to you if you like. Feel free to call me if you have more questions than you care to post. Talmadge 863-280-5783
