Re: 1955 Fuel Filter - Thanks for the help

Thanks to all of you (Rich, Roy, Mike, and Joe)

So, I'll plan on replacing the Carter filter with a "domed" AC unit, and will pass on the #854444 filters that I have seen advertised.

Sorry to be a pest, but having the '55 in my garage is about like being a kid with a new toy. I'm doing plenty of studying, tinkering, organizing, and shopping of course....:)

        Hey Mark,
...pest?... no way. That's what the forum is all about. Picking everyones brains for info. Guys here are great.
I'm a kid at heart too, IMO I think most of us are. I used to build dozens of model cars when I was a "real" kid, favorites were Corvettes. Today it's the same thing, only the parts are bigger, use tools instead of glue, parts are a "little" more expensive, AND we can DRIVE THEM!!!

            55 details

Glad to see another 55 pop up. Welcome to ownership of a Corvette which has no AIM.

I still have the original carb, filter, and filter element on my 55.
