Has anyody tryed to reinstall their lower windshield molding and had problems. I recently removed it and put in new glass. I have reinstalled all the other molding, but the lower is a pain. I am not sure if the molding is bent. If so, any suggestions on reinstalling it? If it is bent, does anybody know of a company that would rework it for me? Or would it be cheaper to purchase a new one? Finally, if by the grace of God, does anybody know of a person or company in Houston, Texas that could do it for me? Thanks in advance.

There is a guy out by Interconental Airport, on the north side of the Beltway, behind the old car rental facility (at Morales Rd, west of JFK). Name of the place is Corvettes & Classics by Ray. I have seen quite a few Corvettes in there and talked to him one day a few years ago about replacing my windshield. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to follow through as my funding went elsewhere, so I don't have first hand experience working with him. He did have a lot of NCRS stuff in his office however. Phone is 281-442-0353- Top

Re: Lower windshield molding on 67 roadster
I just had my windshield replaced on my 1967 roadster. We added new lower trim clips. The lower molding is a definite bear to get back on correctly. The installer had a hard time getting under one clip and twisted the moldling a little in the process. When he finally got it under all the clips, it was pulled away from the windshield at the top in one spot about 4-6" long, from a definite tweak. To fix this, he took a piece of wood about 6" x 2", put the 2" side on the top of the moulding, and pounded it down with a rubber mallet. The molding went flush against the windshield, just the way it was supposed to, and now fits perfect. Don't know if this will always work, but it did for me. Good Luck.- Top

Re: Lower windshield molding on 67 roadster
If the lower molding has been bent or twisted some, do you recommend going ahead and purchasing a new one? I think that is one of my problems, that it has been twisted or bent and now it will not fit correctly. Thanks for the information.- Top
