I have 67 350 small block with no power options. I was looking at Quanta site for fan and water pump belts. They have a "long" and "short" verions for the water pump. Anybody have any experience which one fits assuming all pulleys are original? Does both ZO6 and Quanta manufacture belts? The ZO6 web site sends you to Corvette Central.

Re: water pump belt, what fits....?
Gene, Check down the list aways, this subject was discussed within the last few days. Others have had problems with getting the right belts also. In fact I had to make a couple calls today about one I had ordered.
I'm restoring my 67 327/300 no P.S. or A.C. I ordered a belt in August with some other stuff for the 67 from Long Island. The belt came from Quantra. When I put it on there was NO adjustment and the alternator was up against the valve cover. Anyway I put it back in the sleeve and went on to another part. Yesterday when I read the other post about the belts it jogged my memory. I called Long Island today and even though I have spent several thousand dollars with them, the guy that answered said they only replace or exchange items up to 2 months. I bought the belt 3 months ago. If I had ran the belt for three months it would be different but I told him I put it on once and took it right back off and it went back into the sleeve and box. Yes I know I should have sent it back right then but as I said I just started installing something else I had got from them. I thought they were pretty decent but after talking with that guy today they won't get another nickel from me.
Gene, I didn't mean to hijack your post. If you would want to try the belt I have first before you buy one from Quantra let me know and I can sent it to you. I did call Quantra and they said the number on the box is the right one for a small block with no options. Just e-mail me shooter1951@shelbywb.coop.
Good luck,

Shooter,
Thank you for the reply. I did get a response from Quanta. They say the "short" water pump belt should fit. What is the Quanta part number of the alternator belt that does fit your 67?- Top

I think you guys are talking about two different belts - the "captive belt" on the 350hp isn't used on the 300hp; the 300hp just uses one single belt from the crank to the water pump to the alternator.- Top
