    69 Thermostat housing question

Would someone be able to post a pic of an original production 3877660 69 thermostat housing for me please?

I discovered that mine is wrong due to the p/n number being on the flange so I'm looking for a correct one with the p/n on the neck. I understand that the production ones versus service ones have thin or thick numbers but don't know which is which so if I could see what a production one looks like I'll know if I should go for the thin or the thick numbers.

    Thanks

    Greg-----

A guaranteed original 1969 GM #3877660 thermostat housing. I'm not saying this is the absolute only configuration in every single nuance of detail used for every single 1969. However, this was the configuration used on at least one 1969.

Joe's pictures should help you find what you need. Be aware of the small hole and flange extension in the picture as some housings will not have this.
Their are many small changes in this part number so I would have the picture in hand when looking for one.

                Lyle/Joe,

In what application was the flange extension and hole used?

                Just curious,

I'm not sure which applications used the extension and hole. I think that Chevy II might have been one of them. It was used for the accelerator pull-back spring anchor point, though. It was never used for any Corvette application. In fact, there was another PRODUCTION-only housing of a different part number that was used on some Corvettes in the early 70's that did not have the extension and hole.

Greg, Mine looks like Joe's second one except it has "1A" under the nunber where as Joes looks like "1C" under the part number. Dale
