    Since someone else did the work removing the trans a couple of times, the driveshaft could be installed in a different position than when all this work started.

        if the vibration is there when you rev the engine in neutral the problem is engine or clutch related. see if there is any change while reving in neutral by pushing in the clutch. this will stop the clutch disk and trans gears from turning. have the clutch pressure plate checked for balance.

            I had the same issue with my 67 BB. It turned out the driveshaft was touching the transmission tunnel on the body. Put the car on a lift and have a look. Hope this helps.

              I would ensure the flywheel is done at the same time as your clutch by someone who does this professionally. For when in motion, also balance your driveshaft.

                  thanks everyone after taking off all the belts and puting them back on one at a time......................... it turned out to be the alternator , switched it out now no vibration................. except for the ones that come with a 40 year old car that is.
