I am looking for front coil springs for 72 BB/with air. I have checked several sources and have only 2 leads. 1..GM Restoration parts web site shows a part # CVT-2 for the springs but I can't verify if this is correct. 2..A company called Kanter says they can have them "correctly made". Can anyone verify the GM part number and has anyone delt with Kanter or have any other leads. Also I am going to replace all front end parts (ball joints, bushings etc) I found some but not all of the parts needed on the GM web site. Would buying a complete rebuild kit from someone like PST or Volunteer Products be a more viable option.

Re: 72 Front Suspension Parts

The original GM part number for your spring application was GM #3931826. This was discontinued years ago, so, if you require springs, reproduction is going to be about the only option available to you.
Kanter has supplied Corvette suspension parts for quite awhile, although I have no personal experience with them.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Addendum
One more thing: as far as I know, all of the suspension parts sold by Kanter or most other suppliers, including those available through the GM Restoration Part program, are REPLACEMENT parts, NOT REPRODUCTION parts. These parts will SERVICE the application and be reasonably durable. However, they may not be (and usually will not be) configured exactly like the original parts. In some cases, the deviation from original configuration may be substantial. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
