1972 carburetor

What is the original color of the carburetor on a '72 LT1? The carb is a Holley 4150 List code 6239-1.

Any help will be appreciated.

It is Dichromate sort of a gold color.

Are all '72 Holley 4150's installed on the LT1 platform; gold dichromate in color or where some left a natural gray silver in color?

I would say highly unlikely , that sounds like the patina that one would get on a 30 + year old carburetor with a few rebuilds under its belt and a dip or two in a carburetor cleaning solution

The good news is that Holley custom shop will re dichromate that carburetor for you at 150 dollars. A total rebuild and re color is 426.
