    C-3 rear bumper

Hi people, I have a question that maybe someone can answer. My rear bumper was damaged, and it was the original urethane, so off it came. The new urethane bumper for 75' doesn't have the indentations for the CORVETTE letters so I purchased the tru-flex rear bumper. The corvette shop is telling me that because of the fibre-glass bumper design and thickness, that they have to discard with the (two) lamp housing supports and the middle bumper-bar cover support. Is this true? I was told that these fibre-glass and tru-flex bumpers don't fit that great, and adjustments and body-work is needed.

Did they get rid of the lamp housing supports for the 77'-82' model years?

Anybodies opinion would be nice to hear.

    Thanks. Ken

    Ken

I have installed a fiberglass rear bumper on a 75 and I had to remove the lamp housing supports and some other adjusting and cutting. I would say your body shop is doing what is needed to make the bumper fit.

      Ken,

I had a flexiglass bumper installed by a shop and they also removed the lamp supports.
