I looking for anyone that can help me with matching the paint on my 1970 Donnybrooke Green car. Unfortunally I do not have a good reference for the original color. I need something with the original color on it to match paint to or a good paint formula. Paint chip that I have looked aren't good enough. I am in Tennesse and plan to use lacquer. I tried PPJ and autocolor's restoration paint.

Re: 1970 Donnybrooke Green Paint
What would your selected paint supplier need to mix lacquer of Donneybrooke Green? Who are you going to use? Reason I ask is that I have a partial quart of Dupont lacquer in Donneybrooke Green. I kept this after I sprayed the final two coats on my car in 3/91. I am going to use it one day for touch up. My 70 sits in a dark garage most of the time, so have no sigificant sun damage, just some chips at the back of the doors from driving it.- Top

Re: 1970 Donnybrooke Green Paint
I would like to use Dupont but this stuff is hard to find. I have found a paint supplier that claims to be able to custom match the current version of lacquer that PPJ makes. The off the self PPJ donnybrooke green paint is the wrong color of green the best I can tell. It would be great to have something to compare what they come up. I did find a very small part of the car behind the rocker molding on one side and an area behing the wiper door molding that did appear to be original. I not sure the paint quality of this sample is going to be good enough for them to use. Since I had replaced the fender due to damage with the rocker molding sample, I send this sample to them today via fedex.- Top
