    Just asking you guys ?????????

I know true Corvette (NCRS) funatic's don't like my accessories or options and pup-Pu them , but don't most people like being different? I've said this over and over that you can make a top flight or even a Duntov award like Jerry Palmar did with his 62 that had accessory . I'll never talk people into adding any accessories to their Corvette , but it would be neat and different to see some Corvettes with them ?
I met many owners that liked mine and I still got a top flight. Just asking you guys what your thoughts were!! Good or Bad

      No, a new accessory for a C1

      after driving one all day.

      Keep them coming, Roy.

Only lost a few points on my luggage rack for the holes, but made it up in driving points.

I like to see all the various accessories that were available for any given year. I think they enhance any vehical as long as it isn't "overwhelmed" with too many of them.

I think the accessories are great. As long as they were accessories available from GM, I say bring them on. Would I put them on my vette? Most of them I probably would not. But I still like seeing them and learning about them.

I like the variety of you stuff. I have dealer accessories in my original owner 70, car mats. Also have another dealer accessory, luggage rack. The luggage rack was installed in 75 for a cross country trip from Dallas to San Diego and back. If the NCRS gave points for driven miles that could be proven on one owner cars, how many would they give for 160K?

I agree! I have a 19000 MI.70 LT-1 with origional paint. The origional owner that I bought it from said it on the showroom floor with the luggage rack on the car. Corvette was a dealer stock order. I think if it was a dealer instaled GM accessory for that year there should be no deduction.

                      Ken--
Then exactly what is our judging standard? Instead of "as it left the factory" it becomes "with whatever the dealer decided to do?"
So, the dealer replaced the knock-off wheel with a metal spare before the car was sold, and that is okay for judging? And after he did that, he made a steel-wheel car into a knock-off wheel car, even though it didn't come from the factory, and that's okay?
The NCRS was begun in 1974 with that philosophy, and now we should change it? I have to disagree with you.

I agree with the Rev. As it rolled out the door at St. Louis or BG nothing more noyhing less. How will those who follow know the way if we defile it.

Judging standards go a 'bit' further...

It's as delivered to the original owner, including then current dealer prep services, absent any dealer/owner inspired option additions/deletions.

All cars left the factory with a window sticker and we don't judge that aspect while the NCCB guys at Bloomington do. The engine was shot with cosmoline for in-transit oxidation protection. Wheel covers were inside the vehicle. And so on. So, it's NOT as the car's left St. Louis or Bowling Green...

To expand on my previous post regarding this controversy I'd like to convey
that I enjoy viewing your accessories and automotive collectibles almost as
much as reading your commentary Roy, please keep them coming! My thoughts
on NCRS judging criteria however are that the status quo should be maintained
                            as regards non-factory installed items.

                            Best regards,
                            Bert
