    67 carpet cut out for park brake console screws

    There was a thread on the oval cut out on the luggage stop in May 2006. Some one had photos of original carpet but if these were posted they are not in the archives. The original carpet is long gone from my 67 so need help in duplicating the cut out in the carpet for the screws that hold the park brake console. A picture or just the approximate dimensions would be appreciated.
    Thanks, Chuck Banks

    Here is a photo of the cutout.

    Don't forget that there is a unique cutout for the seat tracks also....

      Thanks Steve, the photo really helps. My 66 still has it's original carpet and I assume the front seat track cut out would be the same flap. Does the back bracket bolt directly to the fiberglass through a hole cut in the carpet? If you have a photo of the underseat carpet I'd sure like to see it.
      Thanks again

        Hello;
        The carpet I believed to be original on '4086 (November) had a flap over that area.
        Hope that helps.

          On a 67 the rear seat track anchor is bolted to the floor, no flap.

            For what it's worth

            Chuck,

            I think this is the picture of an original 67 carpet divider section:

            The cutout you are talking about is at the top of the picture. Pretty rough, no flap or it fell off.

            This picture was taken at a Tech Session at the 2007 Boston National, I'm sure it is a 67.

            Pardon the sneakers.
