I bought a pair of service style mufflers, ie, clamp inlet. I was hoping to be able to save my functional old pair in case the new mufflers are too loud.
The shop that is going to do the work says they don't think the old mufflers can be saved. It appears that he has to cut the inlet side to be able to remove the muffler forward (toward the front of the car). I think he is righr as just unbolting everything it looks like the old mufflers won't drop down low enough to clear the exhaust panel to remove the mufflers rearward.
Can someone confirm this is the logical way.
