Please let me see you Solid Venetian Red 57's

    Hi Everybody!!! Happy Holidays.

I am getting close to having to make some final decisions.... and I would love to see some pics here for help.

I can't decide whether to go wide whites and large caps on 5 inch rims, or go with RPO 276, the wider wheels and dog dish caps. The car is going to be Solid Red.

I guess the bottom line is I think I would like the black walls with the larger caps... don't know if that was an option.....

I have already taken delivery of a dated Black Ragtop and I have restored the ragtop frame and painted it black.

Can I do a red Corvette with Beige Interior and a Black TOp.... were any delivered like that?

Please let me see some pics of your finished 57's I would love to see a Solid Red Corvette with beige interior and beige top with white walls like on my Hagerty INsurance Card, and I would also like to compare that to a Solid Red Car with REd interior, black top large caps and Black walls! Of course, I am not sure if that was a factory option.

    Help Corvette Pals!!!!

    Happy Holidays!

    Jacob -

There were no restrictions on top colors with a Venetian Red exterior - the customer could choose white, black, or beige. Same with tires - black or white.

      John,

      Thanks a bunch.

What about the combination of a BEIGE Interior, with a BLACK Top on a Solid Red Car?

Was that an option, if so.... does anyone have a a picture of what this looks like?

      Thanks,
      Jacob

With a red exterior, you could get either a red or beige interior and any color top you wanted - there were no restrictions.

          Jacob,
I believe that if you choose a beige top the frame should be Shoreline beige. If you choose black or white fabric the frame should be black. This of course is if you restoring to original.

              Thanks a bunch everybody!

I am very curious if anyone has a picture of a Solid Red Car with Beige Interior and Black Ragtop, Solid Black Tires, Wide Caps.

Then I would also love to see the same car with Wide Whites.

Does this sound like a good choice to everyone? I want the car to be a little different than the regular 57, but stll want it to appear original and classic.

              Thanks and Happy Holidays!!!

                    Hi Jacob:
I have some shots of a solid white 61 with dogdish caps; with black rag top and with white hard top if this helps at all. Both have GBF raised white letters on the tires. (I like the contrast of the black rag top better myself)send me an e-mail, I'll attach pics, if you want...

Perhaps I am not the best at interpreting all the information on the AIM or JG, and perhaps we are a little computer challenged and haven't quite figured out how to download the judging sheets.

Perhaps that is why I love this board sooo much.

Regardless..... the AIM doesn't show lots of pis of Solid Red Corvettes and that is what this thread is all about!

                      Happy Holidays!!! HO, HO, HO!!!!!

and yes I do own all of the NCRS books in regards to the restoration of my 57 COrvette, including the 57 AIM, and the 57 Judging Guide.... AGAIN, I just suck at interpreting them.

I am not retired, and work a ton... when I have a question it is more fun and easier to use the computer, than to study the books that I don't quite understand anyways!!! I will have plenty of time with my nose in the AIM, as I aseemble the chassis this winter.

Thanks soo much for all of your help!

                        BEst,
