    Bif Block Deep Oil Pan

Back in Sept of 06 you guys were talking about a special big block windage tray on Ebay. The discussion turned to a service-only deep oil pan. There is such an oil pan offered on Ebay now under item # 320195201388. I mention it only in case it is actually rare/desirable, and any of you might care.

Very rare pan from Chevrolet with a welded extension Looks like it might add 2-3 qts.

        Richard------

I don't know if this is the original, over-the-counter-only oil pan once sold by GM, or not. The GM pan was a stock pan which was cut and had an extra section welded in like the pan here. In any event, the core used for the eBay pan was not a Corvette pan. This is a side-drain type pan which was never used on a Corvette.

Since the pan was never used for ANY PRODUCTION application, I can't see why anyone would be "hot" for it. But, you never know.....

we used these deep pans on drag race engines to get the oil away from the rotating assy. we only put 5/6 quarts of oil in the pan. i still have several and i believed the were from HD BB trucks.
