66 wheels

Dear Members,

My roommate has a 66 conv. with 67 styled steel wheels and trim rings etc. Will the 66 style hubcap fit on that rim? I have found him a set of 66 originals from a local parts guy and wonder if they will work or fly off rounding a corner?

I guess my question should be; are the wheels from 66 to 67 different?

Justin the 66 hubs caps will fit the 67 rally rims and work with no prolbems if in fact they are 67s. The 66 wheels are just plain steel wheels and the 67s are the 6 inch rally wheel. The orig 67s are worth a LOT more than 66s and a lot better looking. Orig 67 wheels have DC or DG by the valve stem. The 67 trim rings have three different styles and but only one of them is correct for 67. Phil 8063

That looks like a 67 wheel, but could be coded differently, so that would effect the value mentioned above. Yes, the 66 cap will fit, but for those in the know, it will appear to be a little too far to the outside.

They will fit OK, but the Silver Ralley Wheel will still be visible thru the open holes in the wheel cover.
