        The only thing I can add here is to turn the input shaft 10 full times and count the side revs, then do what Duke and the others said with the 2X oe 1/2X but then factor back in the 10. this should get you closer to the 355 or 370 mark... just my $0.02

          The only thing I can add here is to turn the input shaft 10 full times and count the side revs, then do what Duke and the others said with the 2X oe 1/2X but then factor back in the 10. this should get you closer to the 355 or 370 mark... just my $0.02

            The only problem is that the speed difference between a 3.55 and 3.70 is small. With a 27 inch tire, 3000 rpm will give 65 mph with a 3.70 and 68 mph with a 3.55 gear. Unless your speedometer is very accurate, you may not know which gear you have from doing the tach and speedometer comparisons. And you need to know the rolling diameter of the tire which varies from manufacturer to manufacturer on a given size.

            The best way was already suggested in turning the driveshaft 10 times and then calculating. It is a lot easier to check 18 turns than 1.8 turns.
