I just bought a 1976 project and was given some parts not related to a '76 but what must be an older vette. Beside wheelcovers, I was given a radiator which I need to ID. It is a radiator that is new in the box but I can see its not for my '76. I would like to know exactly what I have, it looks like an expansion tank type, it is copper, with 4 cores, no plumbing for auto trans lines. Looks like smallblock only ? The red tag has some numbers on it which I guess must be from mfr, since it is obviously a newer repro. If someone can give me a heads up for what year(s) and application I would appreciate it since I dont need this unit and want to be clear on what it is. Thanks, Craig

Re: Need radiator ID
Craig------
It's actually 63-72 but, as Paul mentioned, it's a replacement type copper brass unit. The original radiator it replaces was aluminum and of different construction. This will work for those applications originally using the aluminum radiator, but cooling capacity is reduced.
This radiator would fit:
1963-67-----ALL small block;
1968--------small block without auto trans or C-60;
1969--------all base engine with manual trans and without C-60; some early L-46 without C-60;
1970------some early LT-1, POSSIBLY some L-46 without C-60, all base engine without auto trans or C-60;
1971-72----base engine without auto trans or C-60.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
