Hello, I have an early 67 coupe with the wrong motor in it that I'm restoring. I would like to put a correct casting # restoration motor in the car but I keep getting conflicting information on which casting my car should have. It's a September 19TH build date with an 1100 or so serial # and I thought it should have a 351 casting but I've been told that was only for 4 bolt motors, and I have a 390 hp car which is a 2 bolt, and most early 2 bolt cars had the 942 block. I would like to get this correct so I would have the least amount of points deducted should I ever get my car judged.(Second flight is better than no flight) Thanks for your input and advice. Chris.

Re: 3866942 or 3904351 block in my 67
Chris I agree with mike. There are cases of 351 blocks in late 66 cars havent hear of any 67 cars with 942 blocks, anything possible, but the norm would be 351 two bolt block. My old 67 400 had orig 351 block and 3904390 heads vin around 2500, block cast Aug 31 assy Sept 19 car build was Nov 1. Phil 8063- Top
