Dealer Code Information Request For C3

I sent a copy of my tank sticker to windowsticker.com to get a window sticker reproduced and got a call from the owner saying his database did not have a name and address for dealer code 174 in zone 22 which is on my tank sticker.

Is there any way to get the dealership information for zone 22 dealer 174? I assume they are no longer in business since the number isn't in their database.

My car is a 1972 built in December 71 if thats any help.

Try Al Grenning. If you have your tank sticker he used to "trade" that information for a copy of your sticker. He advertises in the DRIVELINE

Please add the dealer name and the zone and dealer info to the database here on NCRS when you get it.

Kevin, what is going on between NCRS and Al Grenning? He has the information but isn't adding it to the database. He offers it to members in exchange for copies of their tank stickers.

I guess I don't want to appear unappreciative of Al for providing me the information yet, if I hadn't had a tank sticker, would I have had to do without?

I'll be glad to add it to the database because there are more Corvettes without tank stickers than there are with.

I know everthing about my 67 but dealer and zone codes. I submit information I find to the database anytime I come across a dealer and zone code.
My tank sticker is still on the car don't think it's ever coming off I'm hoping someday someone will add the zone and dealer to my Pollard Ravenscroft information.

You might be able to determine the ZONE if you know the dealer address.

If the dealer was from Oaklahoma for example then look under OK and see if you can find a dealer in a city close by. Many of the Zones covered large geographical areas crossing state lines.

You might get lucky and narrow it down further because the dealer codes were assigned alphebetically, by the dealer name. "A"s are low numbers while "Z"s are high.... Good hunting!!!!

Zone 22 was the Louisville, KY Zone back in the 70's. If I remember correctly the Big Corvette Dealer in that zone was V.V. Cooke, Louisville KY.I don't have the dealer code. Hope the helps.>Save the Wave. Happy Holidays.>George
