I am installing the missing spark plug heatshields on my 1974 350. The original V-shields are in place.
Simple question that I cannot find the answer to in the AIM or in the vendor catalogues. What is the order of the parts when bolted to the block?
1. Bolt then spark plug heatshield bracket and then v-shield bracket such that V-shield bracket is against the block?
or
2. Bolt then v-shield bracket and then heatshield bracket such that heatshield bracket is against the block?
Witness marks on one of my v-shield suggests that the spark plug heatshield bracket was probably on top of the v-shield - ie option 1 above but I want to be sure as one vendor cataglogue hints at the opposite.
