    1966 Brake Light Switch

The Judging Guide says a plastic or metal brake light switch is OK. What is the feeling for which one is most common as I thought metal was generally only accepted as original??

Check your copy of the AIM... I think you'll find two PN's cited for the brake switch with quite different PN sequences. One should be the metal bodied Delco Remy switch while the other is an outside supplier provided plastic bodied switch.

That meant the factory could use either source and the only way you keep a second source supplier 'alive' is to feed him orders from time to time. Bottom line, both versions would have been used and it's not really possible to tell what percentage of mix was in inventory when your particular car went down the assy line....
